14/07 - Sponsorship Blow For Cheltenham As Racing Feels The Pinch
There is no secret in the fact that the world is slowly coming out of one of the biggest recessions in memory but it is clear that Racing is still suffering, this comes after the news that Boyelsports have pulled their sponsorship from the December International Meeting at Cheltenham. The Irish Bookmaker have decided not to renew their partnership with Cheltenham after a four year run as they clearly look to tighten their belts, this leaves the racecourse with the tough task of replacing them for one of their most important fixtures of the season outside of the Cheltenham Festival. The International Meeting is often used as a trial for many Festival hopefuls, with the International Hurdle in particular becoming one of the top races of the season in its own right.
19/03 - Imperial Commander The Hero On Day 4 At Cheltenham
We have seen a classic Gold Cup today with a new winner in Imperial Commander bolting up the hill to begin a new era with Denman back in second, and Kauto Star falling four from home. All the focus before the big race was on Denman and Kauto Star but the Twiston-Davies yard have been confident all along that Imperial Commander had the ability to take out both of them and they were proved right.

The big day is finally here as Kauto Star and Denman get ready for the 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup in what has been one of the most hyped up races of all time. Over the past couple of years theses two stablemates have shared a Gold Cup each and with Kauto Star already having won in 2007 the current score stands at 2-1 to the defending champion. Kauto Star is the defending Champion having become the first horse ever to reclaim the Gold Cup last year and heads into this years race as the odds-on favourite to make it number three.
18/03 - Big Bucks Lands Gamble On Day 3 of the Cheltenham Festival
The punters have finally landed a big gamble on day 3 of the Cheltenham Festival for 2010 and it was Big Buck's who cruised to another victory in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle as an odds-on favourite. There was real tension at Cheltenham today with two odds-on favourites already beaten this week but Big Buck's was simply stunning today as he won with some in hand to write his name into the history books.
18/03 - Punters Spending Big Bucks in World Hurdle Betting
As we move into the third day of the 2010 Cheltenham Festival the attention is turning to Big Buck's who is bidding for a second straight win in the World Hurdle this afternoon. He will go into the race as a huge odds-on favourite but punters will be hoping he doesn't go the same way as Master Minded and Dunguib already have this week. We have already seen two big odds-on favourites go down this week but Big Buck's is many peoples banker of the week and is expected to have too much for the field as he did in 2009.
17/03 - Day 2 Of Cheltenham Festival Sees Big Zeb Claim The Limelight
After a day that belonged to the bookies on day 1 of the 2010 Cheltenham Festival punters arrived on day 2 hoping to win their money back, but it was not to be once again as they were some big upsets on the card. The big race of the day was of course the Queen Mother Champion Chase where Master Minded was going for his third straight win in the race and set off as a big odds-on favourite. It was not to be though as the favourite never travelled leaving the impressive Big Zeb to claim a storming victory with Barry Geraghty on board.
