Arkle Trophy Chase Form Guide 2012
The 2012 Arkle Trophy Chase form will unravel as the season goes on with some of the top two-milers looking for some chasing experience as the Cheltenham Festival approaches.
In what is usually an ultra-competitive affair it's paramount that trainers get their horses jumping fluently before venturing to Prestbury Park and no doubt during the season we will see the leading contenders gaining that much-needed experience for March.

Race Trends

- It is usually a smaller a field than average at the Festival
- The race is usually won by a horse from one of the top trainers such as Nicholls, Pipe, King, Henderson and Johnson. The Pipe stable have won it four times since 1994.
- The winner usually has had a form record of finishing in the first two in all his previous starts.
- There has only been one winner aged 7 or over since 1990.
